Cantemus Chamber Choir - Cork

Welcome!

Cantemus is in its eight season. The members and their conductor Tomas Ó Tuama are pleased that the reputation of the choir as a highly competent vocal ensemble is now well established. Part of the mission of the choir (based in East Cork) is to present quality choral concerts to the smaller (but no less enthusiastic) audiences outside the well-served city area.

The choir now has a large repertoire of shorter choral works in a wide variety of styles, and occasionally presents larger scale works. Typically we present two full length concert programmes every year at various venues throughout East Cork. Our next concert performance is at St. John the Baptist Church in Midleton on March 9 at 8:00 p.m.

The choir also takes part in International Choral festivals, presents occasional lunch-time or afternoon concerts, and collaborates with other choirs or instrumental ensembles.

This season we again competed in the Fleischmann International Trophy Competition at the Cork International Choral festival (pictured above)
